Mark MacKizer

FOUNDER

Mark retired from a 27-year career as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He spent most of his career conducting homicide, child abduction, and drug trafficking investigations. The last 7 years of his career he was a Supervisory Special Agent assigned to the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) at Quantico, Virginia. While at the BAU, he was responsible for providing behaviorally based operational support and training to federal, state, local and international law enforcement agencies involved the investigation of child abductions, mysterious disappearances of children, child homicides and child sexual victimization. The operational support involved the behavioral analysis of violent offenders to produce products related to risk, personality, and threat assessments.

During his Bureau career, Mark was an adjunct faculty member at the FBI Academy and the New York Police Department Detective Bureau Homicide Investigators Course. As an adjunct faculty member at the FBI Academy, he instructed new-Agents’ classes and University of Virginia accredited graduate sessions for law enforcement managers attending the National Academy. Mark has made over 120 presentations in 27 states and 4 countries, Canada, Georgia, Moldova, and Thailand, to various government and professional organizations.

In 2019, Mark founded MacKizer Behavioral Analysis Consulting. His company has partnered with Justice 3D in the creation of the Empathy Based Interrogation (EBI) program.
